525 Watt CFL !!!

Hi Guys i thought i would share my new CFL lights i have built myself in under 30minutes a light.
I have 8 of these and they work great for Veg and Flowering with an 8000Hr lamp life
The lamps cost only 30Euro Each.

1x 105w CFL (525watt)
1x corrugated aluminium for hood
1x Lamp Fitting

Its a simple yet very effective light, uses very low power and delivers high yields
and good light source...

how is a 105 watt cfl over 500 watts...thes equivilents are stupid,and getting old....call it a 105 watt cfl ...i think ppl get it.....if it draws 105 watts it is 105 watts.........just my rant...good luck with that bulb.........

It's rating is 105 watts and if you have 8 of them expect good results. Do they come in both veg and flower spectra? They do here.

Bulb should work great, though I think you have a little bit of room for improvement with that reflector.

Texture/surface looks good to diffuse the light.

But to get optimum spread underneath, try a "batwing" shape. That's a "V" shape on top of the bulb (so reflected light doesn't just bounce back into the bulb and get absorbed), and parabolic sides (for even spread of light underneath. The sides of the reflector should dip down beneath the sides of the bulb. Something like this:

Darn, I was hoping to see 525 watt cfl. I was picturing a lamp the size of a pony keg.

JEEZE!! he said he has 8 of them.....thats 840 watts of actual power.....kinda crazy for a cfl grow if ya ask me...it would be crazy to not get crazy yields off just cfl's...or any light for that matter with that much power draw.
