4x1000 or 6x600

4x1000 or 6 x 600, both are great choices . 4 weeks vegging is great but the system your gonna use is the real question:mrgreen:or unless your growing in soil . if i was to use a flood table 4x4. then hands down 4x(1000 per 4x4 table)

600 will more evenly distribute the light (more points of light) but are harder to set up(more bulbs) ventiliate and maintain. 1000 s are easier to set up and by my calculations 4000 > 3600. That only matters if you are optimizing the light use though. If your not using the 1000's optimally then 3600 will be better. It also depends on the floor space you are going to use and your setup really. If you can set up the 1000s so that they share side lighting then i would say use them. ANother thing to consider is that 600s produce less heat per lumen but 1000s produce more lumens per watt(or is it the other way around? :confused:).

Lumen wise
4X1000= 1@150,000; 600,000
6X600= 1@90,000; 540,000
Not a huge difference.... I think it is all on preference.... Them 600s would be pricey.... I like 1000ws. Nothing compares to 1000ws for density and size.... If I had the cash though, Id put 2 600ws for every 1000w.....

i am growing in canna coco and hand watering as needed, have 2 rooms one with 4x400mh for veg then into flower room with 600s or 1000s space is anything up to 12x12x9. I can veg a set of plants as along as the other room is flowering (prob 8 weeks ish) but will go for 4-5 weeks then into flower that way i will have a harvest every 8-9 weeks. Originally thought 36 plants under 4x1000hps pulling around 100oz dry strain is sensi big bud and skunk1.

I have a 8 x 12 flower room with two 3'x8' ebb and flow tables that hold 80 plants each in my SOG grow. I had four 1000w (2 over ea table) and changed to six 600w Quantums (3 over ea table). I have had better results yield wise with the 600's. Plus the temps went down a little bit.

There was a thread on here a week or so ago; guy had almost the same setup and problems which you might face. By the time the air in the ducting from the first 2 lights reached the 3rd and 4th, it was quite hot and did not dissipate heat very well. I believe the solution was to either use insulated ducting or use 1 fan for two hoods and another for the other hoods.

i have a 10" spare so what i can do is use it for 2 lights and carbon filter, and buy another 6" fan do cool the other 2 lights. That way i have 2 lots of extraction as well. Also buy 8" for intake.

6 x 600 should easily yield 3 lbs per month. IMO, it's easier to produce that amount with 600's than 1000's.
