Basically, yes you can grow in that space easily. My advice would be to make yourself 4: 2 gallon buckets and convert them to hempy (very simple ). Buy some perlite and a bag of general hydroponics maxibloom. Start the seedlins off with 1.75 grams of maxibloom once they have 2 sets of leaves. Increase the dosage 1/4 worth every week until you reach 7 grams per gallon. Then continue to give them 7 grams per gallon until 12days before harvest.
Do not top the plants. I would let them form naturally to preserve space. Although height may become an issue depending,on lighting. If you use an hps say 250w, you might want to scrog the plants. This wis also help control the height and,uniformity of the canopy. Youll most likely yield more doing scrogs as well..
