Hey everyone.

I recently bought a Metal Halide lamp second hand but after purchase i did a bit of googling and found out that my MH is only 4500k. Now what i want to know is, Will a 4500k MH lamp be enough for 5 clones???

I understand that 4500k has more green light in its spectrum than blue, but still has a little bit of blue. I once had a grow with 4500k CFL lights and had a resonably good grow however they were mixed with 6400k's.

Basically, Will it do anything? Will it atleast get me through veg? Stretching ect is not a whole biggie for me as im fairly new-ish , ISH!, To growing... Just yes or no will a 4500k grow a weed plant during vegetative stage? Its only 250watt but is if i remember correctly about 20.000 lumens. With this brightness amount will it be enough? Thanks in advance guys and sorry if this question has been asked but i cant actually find a clear simple answer anywhere online. Thanks again

Yeah, that sounds right....4500 is in the middle...not optimal, but doable...

Temperature Source
1,700 K Match flame, low pressure sodium lamps (LPS/SOX)
1,850 K Candle flame, sunset/sunrise
2,400 K Standard Incandescent lamps
2,550 K Soft White Incandescent lamps
2,700 K "Soft White" compact fluorescent and LED lamps
3,000 K Warm White compact fluorescent and LED lamps
3,200 K Studio lamps, photofloods, etc.
3,350 K Studio "CP" light
4,100–4,150 K Moonlight[2]
5,000 K Horizon daylight
5,000 K Tubular fluorescent lamps or
cool white/daylight compact fluorescent lamps (CFL)
