400wMH or 600wHPS or both????

I'm about to put some seedlings into my hydro system and I have a 400 mh and a 600 hps. I was going to use the hps but I read that you get a better female to male ratio if you use mh light spectrum....What should I do???? Should I use both for 1000w of light? Thanks

weel you never put seedlings under an hid light ayways. You want to use the blue spectrum and low intesnsity light until the planst are established 4 or more nodes high. A good T8 shop light from walmart or home depot works perfect a 4 bulbs setup and cord will run about $60 with bulbs a 2 tube setup at walmart about $12 with bulbs. Get the light about 1 inch from tops.

I got them under a fluro right now they are starting their second nodes and I'm just preparing. I got them under a t5.

I'd suggest the 400w mh.

MH for veg, then for flower add the HPS. You should get the best results flowering from the combo. Just me 2 cents
