400watts enough?

i have cab. about 2 feet wide by 4 feet long and 6 feet high. should i go with just a 400 or should i go 2 lower watt lights side by side?

Depends what the grow room walls are like,are they painted ,wood ,sheeted :confused: if you have a good reflective material covering the surfaces then i would say that is an ideal size as i think a 600 or more would get too hot in the space you have

I think 600w is pushing it. Look at my signature and those are a 400w in 2x4x6 so exactly the same. Use foylon or some other reflective material. This is crucial. And get a good reflector, one that orients the bulb perpendicular to the long side of the closet. You probably won't be able to have a cool tube that way so plan accordingly. Or get a light mover. Without these steps you'll see diminished returns from the ends of the space. Remember that will heat that space so adequate ventilation is must. I am pulling 73f air into my closet at about 280 cfm to keep at 77f. The sungro is a good one for the job.
