400w vs. 600w. How much increase in yield?

Lets say you get around a zip per plant under a 400 watt. If you switched it to a 600 watt, how much would your yield increase? Speaking in general terms...

Speaking in general terms, my first grow was with a 400 watt with six plants,,I averaged about 1 ounce per plant.
Second grow a couple weeks into flower, I switched to a 600 digital, with five plants growing,,I averaged over 2 ounces, all veg with the 400 watt MH, than HPS. I noticed a huge difference, But they were all different genetics and grown straight from seed in FF soil and full line of Nutes. No topping,,FIM,,ETC.

I'm not sure of the increase in yield but I think the 600 watt light is supposed to be the best as far as the lumen per watt ratio.

Think of it in terms of grams per watt....

If you manage to get 1 gram per watt, the difference would be 200 grams....

Will a 600 watt hps get too hot in a 3x10 closet? Or would you just need to continue to have fans in there to increase air flow?

You NEED PROPER VENTILATION.. to include a cool tube...

I had my first 600w HPS in a 20"x36"x54" tent.... with zero heat issues....
