400w in a tight space

Hi RIU, i recently aquired a 400w mh workshop light and have played with it so ita now a seperate ballast and lamp, my question is will 2.8 ft of height be to short to grow a few 12 inch plants? Also my room is 1.5x1.8x2.8 if that helps

Considering your pot will take up nearly 12", yes you need more height. Double at least.

You only have 2.7 sqft to light, 400 watts is way overkill. Put a quantum board in there
