400w in a closet. Temps are 90f.. Do I need a cooltube?

Can I make this work without a cooltube? I have 96sq ft (2x6x8 closet) and I am using a 125cfm fan with no ducting drilled right into the door. I also have a fan blowing air, circulating it throughout the room. I am getting the seeds some time this week so I have a few weeks to get this room working and running at temps around 80 (my house is about 70 so I aint expecting 70's I am hoping for 75-80.
Note: the magnetic ballast is outside the grow room.

I do not have a dedicated passive intake yet as my drill died before I could drill a hole in the door at the bottom but there is a hole in the closet wall and i left the door open a little bit to allow fresh air in.

As you can see in the pictures I could cut the top half of the room off, I am just going to use that for storage for my ferts and water bottles. If I cut that off I would lessen the sq fottage significantly making the air exchange almost double.

I have the money and there is an HTG supply shop nearby so I can go grab one I am just trying to see if I need it before I make an 80$ purchase.

Could I just Co2 enrich? and go with the 90f?

The cooltube would be an easy fix. I would not make your closet shorter, alot of heat would be trapped closer to your plants. If your light does not have a glass between it and your plants they will get hot. I had a 400 in a box that was 2'w-x4'h-x4.5' t and i made a small hood with glass, it was 82-84f with a 125 cfm pulling from the hood and a small 3" computer fan for intake.I could keep the light 8" from the tops like this. Without something between the light and the plants it gets too hot.

thanks for the replies guys.

Could I use Plexiglass (aka lexan aka acryllic from home depot) or does it have to be glass?

I got some more ideas to kick around.

No, i would not. but you can get alot of hardware stores to cut a piece of glass for you cheap. I just had one cut 30"x30" for $18.00 at ACE.

Invest in CO2. Plants prefer higher temps with CO2 plus it increases growth. Win win and you don't have to fix your heat problem... so that's win win win :weed:
