400w HPS vs. 400w MH for flowering?

Ive read that blue light is better for the vegging stage, and that red light is better for the flowering stage.

But Ive also herd of people flowering with a blue light.

So whaddya think?

People flowering with blue lights, or LED lights, or anything other than a 1000w HPS do it for one reason: Space or budget. 1000w HPS is the best way to go. Some people also add a few 600wMH in addition to, during flowering, although you dont get an extra 60% yield increase from it, so its more of a waste than a benefit.

If you can only use 1 light for the entire grow, HPS is the one..
If you can use both, use MH for veg, HPS for flower..

You can flower under MH, but the buds will be light fluffy and popcorn.. HPS brings out the big hard thick snowy buds..

Well, I have both 400w MH and HPS bulbs. So, thank you, I will use the HPS for flowering.
I was hoping I had not wasted any money on the HPS.

I'm only growing a few plants in a 4X4X12 closet. I figured the 400w wouldn't run to hot, and with a oscillating fan I shouldn't have to worry about heat.

i have a 400 watt hps right now in my closet, but im venting the heat up into the attic. just starting to flower so im hoping these strains turn out and my nutrient regime comes through with some nice yields and quality. herouana og and alien og. cross your fingers.
