400w hps heat issues

alright guys i just ordered my 400w hps. i was wondering exactly how much heat those fuckers put off. im growing in a 4x4x4 foot area in the cold basement. is a 80cfm fan gunna be enough to pull out the air with a desk fan down low for intake and a circulating fan inside the cab thanks for the advice let me know if there's anything else i should know about 400 watters. and wut kind of yeild can i expect from 6 clone 12/12 freshly rooted??

80 cfm will work great- you will want to replace the air in the grow area every 1-3 minutes, and with an 80 you should be able to do that in under a minute. I would leave the circulating fan in the grow area especially if the light isn't air cooled. My area doesnt get above 85 in the summer with ambient air temps around 73.

How tall was they when you switched to 12/12? We have a similar setup I am 3 weeks in veg from rooted clone.

They dont put off as much ehat as everyone says. I have a 400w in a super sun 2 air cooled hood with out the air cooled hooked up. Just open ends and the glass installed and with 2 fans, one on the ballast, one pointing up and one pointing at the hood i run 81 degrees. It is 110 outside here. When i was using 150whps and like 15cfls it would get to be like 95 degrees.
