This is gonna be a soil grow,with Sunshine potting soil made in canada makeup 0.1 0.1 0.1.The only nutes used were fish emulsion during a 21 day veg,ive started using Gravity,and Snowstorm for flowering starting on the 1st of august there from Humboldts line of additives and they were FREE from my friend who owns a hydroponics store.Im not really wild about all the additives these days and have used a few with no major changes.However the Gravity which used to be called stacker is the real deal i tried it on one plant for a week and i was amazed.I tried it in my hydro res and misread instructions and put twice the amount called for,lucky for me i came back to my grow room and the damn leaves were at a 45 degree angle towards the light.Did a res change and was not gonna have enough so im using it for this grow and the Gravity does work.The pic in my Avater is a side branch at 21 days flower,by far biggest buds at only 21 days ive ever had.OH yea by the way dropped my meter on a side branch off the MH plant on the bottom cutit up and dried under a cfl and it taste awesome with a very nice soicial kinda high.This is the fatest flowering plant ive grown and have been growing 2 yrs inside with many different strains.Feel free to ask any questions if ive left anything out.BEECH

Well no one seems to interested,the MH is kicking the hps ass.Results MH wins.Buds are bigger and swelled more and i know for a fact it will taste better also i wont be buying the 80 buck bulb when the 20 dollar one blew it AWAY.I will start another test just to be 100 percent correct if theres more people interested,i know which is the best.This is for the people who think you have to have the best to get the best.Hell im gonna do it just for people to save there money.Would like ppls pros and cons on the MH and HPS.IMO there was no comparision and the hps eye bulb was brand new only 30 days old. The mh has 1 full grow 60 dayson 12x12.

i think you should show the differences and all cause you started this on flowering and all so the plants were growing diff. to begin with..... i think you should do one from seedlings and keep posts from that...that would show the whole defference not just affect in flowering..... just a sugestion

Sounds interesting. Everything I've ever read shows that HPS will increase yield. You say the MH wins because the buds are bigger and swelled more, but what about the density of them? Trich development? Also, "I know for a fact it will taste better" isn't very convincing.

Not trying to be a dick here, but you need hard objective data for a good comparison study. Some pics would help as well. Happy growing!

The only other thing I'd ask is keep everything as similar as you possibly can, except for the lights. Sounds like an interesting experiment, for sure.
