I'm looking for a mh bulb for vegitative stage only. What I was woundering is the 6500k rating really the best for vegatative growth? It seems like there is alot of yellow and green in that spectrum. I've seen these aqurium bulbs that are 10000k and almost all in the blue spectrum. Do think this would be better during the vegataive stage?

The plant will absorb the yellows during veg, just not as much, so it's not bad to have it, but the all blue would work too during veg.

As far as better? Probably won't be better, a plant can only photosynthesize so much, and any additional exposore to the ideal spectrums will not be used by the plants.

Also you can't see the bands of light the plant use's. MH is the best light you can use for veg.
