I have a relatively small closet 2"x3.8"x7" and have a 400 Watt HPS with cool tube. During this whole setup I was preparing to run my HPS Ballast in my attic basically sitting on two 2x4's so it would be up out of insulation, etc...
After looking around I am now REALLY worried about this thing causing a fire. I don't know what to do.
I suppose I could move the ballast into the closet itself, but that adds heat, and I'd most likely have to use an extension cord (as I wired an outlet in my attic for this purpose). Also, I don't have very much room so I don't know what kind of tray/pots will fit with a ballast right there as well...
Please help with thoughts or suggestions!
