400 hps or 1000 watt

ok so i am having a delema i have both a 400 and a 1000 watt lights with reflectors but im looking to buy a tent i have to choices one tis 35 X 54 inches the other is 54X54 and i am torn between wheter to get the smaller tent and use less energy or go big and get the larger which will produce more plants than i could use

the big problem is that these tents will be outside in a shed thats made of a plastic like materal no isulation in cal low temps not prob only hight but also more suptanible to heliocpters screening

any suggestions

If you put it outside you run the risk of someone finding it so why dont you make a tent for inside? I mean, you already have your reasons why your doing it outside but with inside, which many people do, you have more control and believe me, the 1000 watter is great. I've been smoking bud for two weeks straight whenever i want after harvesting 5 auto flower ak47 plants under the 1000 watter. i still have one more plant to hack down too! It does get very hot in there but now since its getting cooler outside it is definitely cooler in the grow room, like 78-83 when lights on and probably 70 when lights off. I like the 1000 watt hps, its cool.

well having it in the house not an op with the old lady and kid but it will be in my backyard in a shed thats always going to be locked so im not worried about someone finding it from anywhere but a helicopter and i was just looking at my energyy bill just with my 400 set up with fans and everything is going to be like 50 -60 dollars more a month so i think im going with the 400 but thanks for ur imput

You can put locks on the tent zippers... That's what I did with my tent...

well thats a good idea to add to it but im pretty sure it will be safe in the shed from view from anyone like i said it will be in my backyard in a shed so i think for energy sake i will have to go with a 400 but im going to use enchaced spectrum for more lumens and add some florescents to add to the side growth i can always put the 1000 watt in if need as i already own both

I made the jump from 400hps to 1000, i dont think i could go back, much bigger spread of way more intense light and most importantly fatter nugs.
