400&250 HPS will it screw things up?

I want to add a 250 watt hps to my room that already has a 400 watt hps my room is only 3x4 feet. will it mess up the plants for imbalanced lights? or is it more lumins the better?the reason I want the extra light is I have some smaller plants that looked streched. my mother is the main attraction and shes much taller. any tips or pointers would be cool thanks budz

it wont screw things up and will be beneficial -- be careful of to much heat though.

yes -- heat is problematic in such a small setting -- what is your ventilation like?

I'm working on the ventalation now.after adding the second light the heat jumped froma steady 80'f to around 92'f. So what I'm trying now is I cut a large hole in the wall close to the ground and put 2 4" duct hoses that run along the concreat floor in behind the furnace(the coldest part of the basement, its around 72'f- 75'f)I'm trying to suck the cold air in with the help of a 6" canfan that is drawing the air through a 14"canfilter (charcoal) and exausting the warm clean air out side. yas got any tips on getting it a little cooler still? thanks guys
