4 100w cfl 2 plants grow questions (:

Hello im new to this website and this would be my first post also my very first grow. I have a pc box that i made and i just had one 100 w cfl in it when i started the first two seeds i got from my guy...(One seed is white widow and the other is ak47)... After a week i realized i should maybe move them to a bigger box so i made another one out of an old night stand that i had, its 2feet tall, 2feet wide and 2 feet deep. I got 2 more seeds so i planted them...(so i have better chance to get some females)... and i also got 3 more 100w cfls. My questions were..... if i should use more light? How should i do lst to these plants? Please help if you can and advice. "Vape it dont flame rape it!" Thanks Everyone!

yes...you need more lights...you always need more lights with CFL's...now the real question here is how many can you pack in there before the box heats up too much and you get heat stress? So...you need more lights...and some sort of fan sucking the heat out...

With CFL's the more the better...yeah you can probably finish out the grow with what you just have now, but don't expect much in return for bud...if you want to LST them just grab some string or a twist tie and tie it down to the side...the younger the plant is the easier it is to start training it, the older it gets the more rigid the stem gets so you have to be more gentle.

Yeah i have two pc fans on the box, one is exhaust with carbon filter and the other is just an intake fan. Should i need more fans?? I took your advice and added 2 more cfls 100w and i added an led light i had layin around. And what it be okay to just use a large staple to just secure the plant to the soil, dont really wanna put holes in the pots. Thanks for the advice man, keep blazin.

You should post pics so people can help you better. Exhaust fans are always better than intake because its easier to pull air than push it out. I would just do 2 exhaust and have a hole for passive intake a bit bigger than both exhaust fans. It you dont want to put holes in your pot just use duct tape to secure your string or whatever to the side, works like a charm. To start lst just bend the plant, after it grows a bit, under a sting. you can even wait awhile to start bending her. If she get too tough to bend let it dry out a little and before you water again do it. It should make the plant less rigid and easy to bend. bend it down good. After your first bend just try and turn it around the circumference of the pot. I think just adding some chicken wire to the middle of you box and letting the plants grow into it is better plan. You wont need to do much but pull the bud site back under to get a nice scog going. Plus you can more easily fill up all the whole canopy with flowering potential. KEEP YOUR CFLS SUPER CLOSE. As close to the top without touching. A little leaf burning is worth having them as close as possible. You have plenty of lighting dont worry. Once you veg them all up flat switch to the 2700K-3000K bulbs a week before flowering, assuming your using the 6500k day light ones now. This will cause your plant to grow more bud sites because the plant will grow bud where ever the plant is receiving the most light (especially red spectrum).

Bostoner and Massah both had good suggestions. It's sweet you had an LED laying around. I love them for vegging. Good luck.
