30 gallon drum? ;)

Any reason not to use a 30 gallon drum as a dwc res? I plan to lay it down sideways on a little base and use a pump and a garden hose to drain into my bathtub down the hall for res change.
(and yes i'm going to use a giant air pump and a chiller )

Are you going to flatten the top side...where the plants will go?
