3 wk old Widow w/ dead bottom leaves

First Grow - CFL Closet (Sorry, no pics)
2 Nirvana Fem. White Widows - 3 weeks since germ
Sprouted in party cups
Both have 50% dead/dying bottom fan leaves & bright red stems
Miracle Grow African Violet Mix
Distilled Water
No Nutes yet
Shitty $5 pH probe soil meter
Shitty $5 moisture probe meter

I read that there where enough nutes in the soil to fert for about 3 weeks. I guess not for party cups though? At first I just thought it was heat stress.....then thought it was nute burn due to over-watering the time release soil......now maybe nute deficiency? Nitrogen?

The leaves above the lowest ones are now showing yellow tips that will eventually turn brown like the others. The new growth everywhere looks good and not discolored. I transplanted into 3 1/2 gal buckets just a couple days ago and watered around the root ball so it would spread out.

Should I just wait a while and see if the fresh soil corrects the problem? Buy some nutes? If so, any recommendations? Also, I am going to clip off the completely dead leaves. Bad idea?

Sounds like overwatering since stems are red/purple. let it dry out a bit and leaves that affected will either come back or shivle and fallof by them selfs.
