Hello everyone,

Well its my third week of flowering and most of my fan leaves are yellow. I am growing in a 1.5 foot by 3 feet closet box with mylar placed all around the inside of the box. My girl is in a 1.5 gallon pot. I have 3 26 watt cfls and 1 15 watt regular cfl. i have been using miracle grow bloom formula like three times a week and just water once a week. everything was fine before i started flowering but now everything seems to be falling apart. I think it mightve been the overzealous use of miracle grow.
Yesterday I washed of some of the soil off (there were little salt like crystals in the first 1 inch of the soil.) and repotted it in some fox farm soil. I accidentally broke some of the roots in the process.
Does anybody have any ideas what i can do to help it???

its typical for leaves to eventually turn yellow(but not til about week 6), however, the transplant was more than likely hard on the plant, also sounds like your using too much fertilizer, watering once a week and using ferts 3 times a week? woudlnt recommend that.. maybe just PHd water for a week or two. also, when u say regular cfl do u mean just a regular florescent..?

You have WAY over fertilized! Flush NOW! You have a 1.5 gallon pot, so run 5 gallons of distilled water from the supermarket through the soil and give it a few days. Don't do anything else. Get 3 more CFLs on there if possible, and make sure temps stay below 85 under the lights. Watch it and see what happens, and post pics ASAP.

i believe the yellowing of your fan leaves are normal to a point.<<can someone back me up on that. another problem is you dont really have enough light. another problem is you shouldn't be using miracle grow. and another problem is you shuld probably have the plant in a 3 gal pot. i think thats everything.

I would definitely say that it is overfertilized. I use a regimen of fertilizing every other watering...my schedule goes as follows.........water....wait a day....nutrient...wait a day....water....wait a day.....nutrient....wait a day.....and that has never gone wrong for me. however plants react differently to some things...so that schedule could easily be modified to a more sensitive plant.

as for that transplant...I would guess your plant is in a great deal of shock right now. the worst time for a grower is now..bc you dont know what to do.....i would say the important thing now that you have transplanted it is to just water with distilled watter.....if its in soil without nutes...it will not need to be flushed...as this will further shock the plant. possibly to death.

Definately kick the m.g. Watering 4 times a week just sounds like way too much, but i guess it depends on how much u give it each time. Hopefully u weren't using the miracle gro soil too, it has slow release crystals in it that release the nutes EACH TIME U WATER! That may have been the crystals u were seeing in the soil, I had the same thing happen to my first, (the crystals) and i was using the mg soil, and mg, ferts.... I'll never do that again

What are u doin to keep the temps down in that box? That plant looks stressed, maybe from the transplant, but it looks more like its from heat to me.

i having mine do the same damn thing...i ph the water all the time to a 6.5 and still got that...someone told me that it might be due to not giving enought nitrogen in the veg phase ...yes no >>???

I have cut holes to vent out the heat and there is an airconditioner vent right above the box. it was getting quite hot in there and I have not gotten a thermometer soo I just took out one of the lights for now to help decrease the temp. I also have a fan I turn on once in a while.

keep an eye on ur temps in there, and if u can, keep the fan on 24/7. The plant may have a N def. NOW because people forget their plants need N too, even during flowering. I'd start with the temps, get em down, and NO MORE MIRICLE GRO, just distilled water. If u want an idea of ur fert levels, they sell the little rapidtest things at the nursery that will give u at least some indication of what the levels of the NPK, and ph too. Don't know how accurate they are, but they will tell you if NPK levels are either high medium or low, and super easy to use

What strain is that? My buddys's got an outdoor that looks a lot like urs, and it's in about the third week of flower as well. That being said, his does have more buds on it, but not tons. someone on this site recently turned me on to using molasses for flowering. its packed with potatssium, and also has other nutes for ur plants as well. I'ts organic too, so it's hard to use too much. 1tbsp to 1gal water will boost the P. The N and K should be lower than the P to promote flowering. I use an organic fert. that is 3-3-3 during veg, then for flower I give it the molasses as well to boost the P levels.
