Hello ppl of RIU. i bought this 40 watt light the other day and when i got home i seen that it was a 3 way 15/26/40.

What i was wondering is how do i choose what wattage i would like to use ? Is there some sort of special lamp ?! and if i didnt have one would a normal lamp automatically give the light 40 wats ?

Sorry if this is a repost im bad with the search tool.

Thanks in advance.

No electrician but pretty sure it just means is a tri hookup which allows a dimmer to more efficiently use less wattage. Should run at the full 40 if you ahve no dimmer set up.

Hey thanks for the reply .... i dont know tho cause i would think that a 40 watt CFL would be enough 2 inchs away from the plants .... but i have one plant that shot right up (came outa the ground first) now to see if the others do it to >.<
