how many plants, with some 3 gallon pots, can I fit under two 1000w lights.

Anyone have a rough estimate?

48 would be good, plus it would keep you under the '49 plant legal cutoff'... except when you've got a bunch of clones and such... but then you'd maybe want to try to stay under the '99 plant cut-off'.

6 plants by 8 plants. position fixtures 'long ways' parallel.

49 legal cutoff sounds good to me. Dealing with close to 90 plants is a little much at this time.

Tell me how this sounds

1000w on a rail, over 6x4 plants. 4 wide, 6 long.
2 foot wide pathway
1000w on a rail, over 6x4 plants. 4 wide, 6 long.

Does that sound about right? With that many plants under 1 light, given proper conditions (81 temp lights on, 70 lights off) @ proper humidity, what is an expected yield per plant.

if ur nimble you can get by without the path. i grew 6 by 14 plant to plant... you just have to wear shorts and nothing else and bare feet and be careful :D

under 2 lights, if ur fairly new to it (and still manage to have a pretty good harvest) you be looking at about 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 dry weight total.

48 would be the number of adults.. but if you're looking to perpetuate the species to the next generation... then you'd be pulling clones just before sending the first batch into flowering. which is when you might still try to stay at 99 or less.

but if you want to have a 'path' between the 2 plots... then just position your plants 5 by 5. No rail is needed.

if you wanted to grow more plants than 50... then you could do so by putting those lights on rails.

Awesome work DaGambler. I will keep you informed about this process.

I was actually thinking about getting a pepetual harvest as well, every 4 weeks.

weeks 1-4 and 4-8 under each light
with a veg room, vegging for 4 weeks.
