Hi guys! So I have 15 amps to work with, and a 5x10 tent. I'm looking to maximize THC by weight per watt hour, so basically just looking for dankness/quantity. So I was thinking of doing x4 315W CMH lights from home depot but the more I'm reading, I wonder if HPS is just gonna be the way to go. What do y'all think? Unlisted suggestions are also welcome, this is my first grow and I'll probably start with one light, but I want to have a plan so I don't need to replace anything.

They're not less efficient but they cover a slightly smaller footprint. No concern in your case. Most experienced growers can get almost as much yield from a 315 than with a 600 HPS. Claims are more than with one but I'll wait on that one.

Less electricity , less heat.

Huh, good to know. Do you have any source material on hand? Should I go 3100 or 4200? And what the heck is the difference between open and closed style reflectors?

HPS produces more flower but at the cost of heat and a lot more electricity. Dollar for dollar LED ain't shit. Yet. When the technology improves on LED so that prices are more acceptable that will be the future.
