okay FINALLY I'm going to try my hand at a real grow, done 100% legal and legit.
so i'm thinkin about setting up a 10' wide, 8' tall and 9' long groing area in my garage, and I'm looking for any advice you can provide or any suggestions on what materials to use, etc, etc.
the system will be set up with a 3x6' (actually two 3x3 trays) ebb and flow tray with a 1000w hydrofarm daystar ac reflector, on a 6-foot light mover. it has 6 inch vent holes and the ballast I'm buying runs both mh and hps. I would like to know how many CFM a fan would need to keep this light cool, as I dont want the growing area getting over 80-ish. oh and I live in the bay area so the temperature doesin't get over 85 and below 55.
for the walls I think I'll use two 1/2 inch plywood boards with insulating foam sandwitched inbetween. how much do you think all this wood will cost? and how much do you all think this system will yield? I'm looking for about 8oz per plant. and do you think that the 3x6 area will be enough to grow 10 plants?
and the nutes. I'm goona use (all general hydroponics stuff)

If any of you have used any of these supplements please tell me how well they work. and if you would reccomend a different brand (like advanced nutes or dutch master).

what type of hydro works best (ie. highest yielding)? like aeroponics, ebb and flow, etc, etc

AND what HPS/MH bulbs should I use? cause I heard of all these different brands and I dont know what to get.

and If I get a good response I'll probably post plenty of photos along the process. I'll probably get started in about two weeks cuz im gettin my card next week

oh one final thing does anyone happen to know how many plants SWIM can medically posess in berkeley, and how much dried I can have?

sounds like your grow is going to be exciting, i am trying to obtain my medical card right now, due to a back injury. so for fertilizer i hear that advanced nutrients work really well and are extremely easy to use, if i were building a grow room inside a garage i would build a frame and line the inside of the frame with mylar or some other reflective material... go to youtube.com and type in ultimate grow... its a video that Jorge Cervantes put together and on that video he goes through the whole construction of a grow room inside of a garage. good luck and i hope this helped!!

oh yea and for the number of plants in your area, you could find that online for sure. numbers of plants vary from state to state, county to county.
