250w hps or 300w cfl

depend, if running the 250W give you heat problems and to high temperatures I would say the CFLs if you have the right ventilation and can keep temperatures optimal I would say the HPS, specially if you start em under a small 6500K CFL for the fist few week`s

both,, use hps over the top and use the cfl for underlighting, since ur using a 250 more than 2 plants MAX would be not good

yea in general, the more light the better, but you also need to be able to control temperatures, so as you add more you need bigger ventilation system`s maybe even a cool tube for the HPS, nice to have in summer time, as HID lights do produce a lot of heat compared f´to CFLs

also depend on grow style/method aso in a scrog I would probably choose multiply small CFLs and spread em around 2-4 inch`s above the canopy, adding more as the plant grows also safe power

odor control, odor control, odor control. It matters more than your light.
Oh, I like hid lighting myself.

The hps would produce more light meaning higher yeild if conditions are right. Also you should use the cfls with it also.

250 HPS , I use one and I run this bulb>

http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-GrowBright- 250w-HPS-Lamp.asp

It's 33,000 lumens and has a more efficient output compared to the standard 27,500 lumen 250 HPS bulb and the price isn't that much more expensive than the standard generic 250 HPS bulb. AgroMax makes a 35,000 lumen 250 HPS bulb , the highest 250 watt / lumen output brand I know of, but it's more expensive than the HTG 33,000 lumen bulb.

250 HPS puts out more heat, that's true, but dealing with the heat by running a strong out take inline fan is worth it. I run mine at night anyway from 7:30 pm to 7:30 am to have less heat issues.

Light intensity and penetration is way better than CFL's. I use CFL's for clone starting, and use 2 foot T12's when clones are taken out of my shoebox DWC cloner and put in 18 ounce drinking cups filled with FF Ocean Forest soil to get a little more size, then 1 gallon nursery pots, then 3 gallon fabric pots under my 250 HPS.

Also, I swear by Bruce Dueley's method for worm casting compost tea. Buds will boom.

Thanks.for.advice guys it's a small wardrobe so would.probably be heat problem with hps light so.probably stick with cfl, would 125w 2700k in reflector and 4 45w 2700k bulbs hanging be ok? Or would I be better using one 300w cfl in reflector? ..... The wardrobe is 1.7m high and about 1m width then from the back to.front about 0.5m

Thanks.again
