250w, 4" Can Fan, Still Major Heat Issues

Title says it all. Stealth cab, 20" x 40" x 50", lined with mylar, 400w switchable ballast, running it at 250 with a HPS. Seems like I'll now have to get a cool tube as temps are out of this world (100 F) even running the 4" can fan on full blast. I have a 12" box fan moving air around. Could the box fan be making it worse?

Am I missing something? Rated at 190 CFMs and this baby is blasting air out of the exhaust. The intake is 4" as well and is passive.

Will a cool tube make that big of a difference?

A cool tube will make a world of difference , as even the 250 setting can get hot in a small area like so .. And yes a box fan can raise the temp a degree or two if ran in a confined space ..

^^ not only that. But the exhaust out of the confined space and than intaking back in doesn't help... Room Temps are a big thing nowadays

You simply need to cool the intake air. What is the room temp outside your cab. Get it down to mid high 60s and see where that takes your stealth cab?
