2500w inv generator

need to buy an inverter generator, need atleast 2200watts. but If a generator is rated for 2500 surge power 2200 continuous, will it really run 2200 watts.need to run a 1000 n two 600s off it

It probably would do the job, but under protest. That's like asking a four cylinder to pull a boat uphill.
It might be able to do it, but the V8 sitting next to it will be able to do it easier and for longer.
