250 watts or 400 watts??help please..

what light would be ideal for my room?250 watt hps or a 400 watter hps?
room size is 5'1'' tall 2'7'' width 4'1'' depth.

8sq ft = 400W. 50w sq/ft is a good rule of thumb. I'm using a 400 in 5 sq ft with good results so far.

If you can cool it well enough that space would take a 600. That would really boost yield.

right on doogleef so if i go with the 400 watter id be good? will i have pretty koo buds? lets say i do 5 plants at a time.

400W should give you 8oz or so average harvest. Probably less if first time.
