24v vs 48v for Samsung V strips

I am trying to decide if I should run my v-series strips in a 2s4p arrangement or just run them all parallel at their regular voltage(24-25.5V range). Would there likely be any difference in efficiency? I might have some 24V adapters already, but not proper LED drivers. I have a couple of 48V adapters that aren't powerful enough, so likely either way I need to buy a driver. I'm pretty broke right now, but I did test all the strips using lead-acid batteries(at 24V) and they lit up beautifully so I appear to be good to go other than probably needing to buy a driver. These are going to be side-lights and will be running at fairly low output. I have a plan to mount them on some 1cm thick aluminum bars that I have in my scrap pile and I will be putting some sort of cover over them to keep the plants from touching them. Mainly just need to do the carpentry now.

Arrow has some delta lne 48v 100 watt drivers for like $18. Just throwing it out there as a possible cheap option for a driver with on board dimming for you.

Best of luck with the build though.

I learned the hard way on these strips that thanks to politics I will pay 2-3x that much if its imported from China. I bought 14 dollars worth of these strips from them and the order was around 40 dollars total. The tariffs are brutal.

v-series strips? Efficiency is the same with series or parallel.

Perhaps a better question would be if the drivers are more efficient at higher voltages or if that's irrelevant?

curious question...driver more efficient...

eficient?...efficiency? or efficacy?...

...lumen efficiency... lumen efficacy...
...umols efficiency... umols efficacy...
...power efficiency...power efficacy...
...cost efficiency...cost efficacy...
...long run efficiency...long run efficacy...?????

efficiency? or efficacy?...electric or luminic?...full power.. dimmed?...

Power Energy ...AC Energy?... DC Energy?... Luminic Energy?... Heat Energy?...

relative to max? or min? input voltaje driver....
relative to max? or min? output voltaje driver...
relative to max? or min? load/s of driver...
relative to max? or min? temps...protections...long runs...short runs...costs...on drivers....????

yeah curious and triky question...another small rabbit hole on the DIY leds way...

mas vino Wilson?...esta rico ehhh...juasss...better im back to mute...

The typical standard for efficacy of such devices(aka percentage of total power lost as heat. I'm sorry, but I understood only a small part of that....

I've had the full side-light setup running now for at least a couple weeks and it really looks great in there. Definitely gets warmer than I'd like since I have no ventilation right now, but the strips themselves barely even get warm attached to the thick aluminum. I'm still not very happy about how hot the QB96 gets though. I think the cooler it comes with is a good bargain but they really should offer a superior unit to go with it as well.

Here is a shot of it with just the QB96(exposure adjusted):

I ended up getting a Mean Well HLG driver for the strips. Its 10A @ 24V and I have about 100W of these strips going. I will post a pic of the updated control panel when I get the camera back later today.
