21 days old and pre flowering!?

So here's my situation.... I have been vegging my plant for 3 weeks today and topped it 2 days ago..

So i go and check on it today and im certain that it has a calyx growing right at the topped section. (still to see if it shows male or female)



Is this unfamiliar? Will it have an effect on the 18/6 cycle with the plant?

I intended on vegging for another week as the plant is only 9" tall but very healthy with a nice chunky stem.

All information on this situation will help good or bad..

are you growing auto or photo?

too early to tell if its male or female -- give it a couple more days.

18/6 is good for vegging (photo)
18/6 or 20/4 for veg -flower (auto)
 
Well from what i know the strain is supposed to be bubblegum (who knows tho, people throw all sorts of names at there bud where i live) so i will just say its a bag seed.

The person from whom this bud came from seems to grow this him self on a cycle having it every few months.. so this could be a auto flower strain.

Had another look today and the calyx is really taking on a coned shape (round base..Pointed top) and from my past experience these have became female calyx's and it does mirror the look of my previous flowering plant.

I think its safe to say its female :D very happy.

There is one more thing i would like to ask you all for your opinions on, My node spacing. They are real tight is this good or bad. Sorry for bein a rookie! :)

Could also be ppms too high. Keep it below 400 during veg. More than that (due to increased PK) can trigger sexing

Hi pet, as much as im sure you could be right.. I have no idea of what ppm and pk is.

I recently started using nutes for the first time (only 1 feed so far- next due tomorrow) and i also topped a few days ago.

Could these have possibly stressed it into flowering?
 
PPM is parts per million and can be checked in your water with 2-3 dollar strips test kit.
PK is from "NPK" the 1-2-3 format for what nutes are in your nutes
 
One of my plants growing right now started flowering @ 18 days.And if you see a calyx then it's a female idk why people say wait on pistils when a calyx is cleary visible.

Yeah your deffinitly right there, some people just hope they are male i think ;D
