2 plants in one POT

Lets say you make the mistake of dropping 2 seeds into one pot without noticing.
Then you realize that 2 little sprouts have popped out the soil inside the pot.
by then you probably think that the roots of the two plants are linked together and its too late to separate them..

so i let them grow, whatever. then i noticed that the bigger and stronger plant is sucking up all the food and nutrients for the smaller plant. making the smaller plant looking yellowish and unhealthy.

the problem is that i dont want to cut off the small plant..
i want to keep both of them. but somehow add some typa nutrient or do something to make the smaller plant healthy without over feeding the stronger one...

I have had that happen to me and what I did is I watered the soil really well. Then I tip the plant upsidedown into the palm of my hand, The flip it the right way onto a clean surface,,maybe a cutting board and take a sharp knife and just slice right through.

I worked ok for me and they were very close.

you might need to kill off one now, if not, you may have to later.

what happens when one is a female, and one's a male? you'll never be able to separate them (as you are finding), so flip a coin and pull one out.

You cut the male out and leave the female. I have done this a few times just get rootbound depending on the pot size. I use 6" square and have raised 2 to a pot a few times. Sometime my germ rate is 100% I may have a seedling or two over. I can't bring myself to throw it away so I just put it in a pot with another.
