i did it. they either both stay small or one takes over so it wont work. i had 2 pots with 2 plants in them. it didnt work

Don't do it, they'll be competing for food and roots will tangle stunting growth. Read a little bit and you will figure out more basic information, it's all already here..

Not a good idea, everything has been said that needs to be, except that if one turns out to be male and the other is a female you will have big problems trying to get rid of the male. Unless you buy feminized seeds. Just do one plant per pot. It'll be your best option.
