2 Months from Seed. Am I doing ok?

Hi all,

My baby is 2 months old. And I feel as if she is not growing as fast as everyone elses. These are the stats:
12/12 light
3 cfls 23 watt each 1ft away
Water every two days
Fert is miracle grow flowering
Perlite + miracle gro 50/50
Topped at 5th nod on the main stem. Topped the other branches at 2nd node.
Just pruned her yesterday (bottom leaves)
Super cropped three weeks ago.
About a foot tall after super cropping.

Any suggestions on what i might be doing wrong folks? Or is it just a waiting game at this point?

If you can find $135.00 some where...buy a 4 foot t5 light.

Doing great! Move the CFL's to within 1 inch... I don't like it that close due to the fact that when I used them I'd go away for a day... When returned the leaves would be growing to the light and get burned. Add some more CFL's when you can. Put a fan near it to give it better health...

The problem is not enough light. You have to buy an actual grow light. Hate to be honest but if this is 8 weeks from sprout they are definitely stunted and not worth keeping imo. They could still produce bud but you will be looking at small stringy undeveloped buds.

Hi Heavenly, I myself would try with a T5 Light with 4, 4 footers if you can, all In all it looks good, Light is a big factor in how much veg your going to get off her, IMHO M.G is not what I would use, Some Fox farms Products and some Pro Mix HP Pot ash helps it stretch and fill out, But I would say keep up the good work looks good. and that's just my opinion too for more growth,

I like your optimism, maybe it just the strain but looks way behind to me.

You are right on it being a small plant. I'm thinking this person is just getting into this and will make adjustments like we all have. Originally, I read the Marijuana Grow Bible and thought I was all set to start growing big yielding grows... Nope, I SLOWLY got better with each grow...

For starters, you are using CFL's, which means less penetration. You say lights are at 12/12, when did you start that? I cant help but notice that your plant looks very thin and strechy, what strain type is is, Sativa, indica, or hybrid (X% Sativa, Y% indica)? Also, when you have a lights like CFL's that far away your plant won't bulk up and will stretch to reach the light. If you had had them closer from the beginning, there is a possibility that you could have had a slightly shorter, but bulkier plant depending on strain. As it stands right now you

Light and you are growing in soil. Not saying, there's a problem growing in soil, just that it'll be slow.
You're doing everything right, so don't worry. If you want more vigorous growth, use a stronger light.

Not saying you should, but if your in the flowering stage, try cutting 1/3 of the leaves below, and any side branches. Leaving a single main cola, so you might be able to produce a dense cola, instead of fluffy buds on every branch. It just ain't worth the effort for fluffy buds.

Yeh will do topped it 3 times too so hopefully produce more i will have 250w hps light in a couple of days and now got at the moment 150w mh
Put the mh on it with the CFLs on the sides. Move your timer to 18/6 light schedule and give it another month of veg and then switch to 12/12. When the stretch stops put the hps on it. The last couple weeks run the hps and mh if you can.

my bad. i was responding to the OP. 10" is plenty tall to flip to 12/12. they'll probably at least double. i'll guess 24" after stretch.

mh and hps together are a good combo. you get the blue of the mh and the red of the hps.

Really. Just veg it longer. Or flower under the hps and start new ones under the mh.

But yes you can use both. The mh in flower will help put on more frost.

I run t5's and run both 4100k and 6500k lights.

Cannabis loves a mixed spectrum.

Thanks. I do have a fan on it. Due to most people's suggestions Ima put a t5.
