2 gallon pots with no drainage?

Is drainage necessary or can I just use the right amount of water?
Should I put an inch or two of gravel or something at the bottom?

Oh, and what is the right amount of water to give a plant in a 2 gallon pot?
And then how often should I go about doing that? once or twice a week?
Help me out here. Thanks

Why would you have a pot with no drainage holes? Do you own a drill? Not trying to be a dick.. but you should be doing some more reading before you get anything into pots... Ur results will be as good as your research ..
