I am setting up my room with 2 1000 watt lights. What is the safest way to plug them into a house wall outlet? Do I need to create a 240v outlet or can i use the 120v standard outlets? If so how would I do that? Thanks in advance

If you are asking questions like you are, you need to hire a qualified electrician to do the work. I ran 2 dedicated 20 amp lines for each of my lights from the fuse box to the room and there is enough to run my fans on those line too.

If you are using your current house lines, you need to check the wiring and fuses, to see how much electricity you can pull thru each line or there could be a fire if you overload it (plug too many things in/ draw too much power).....find someone knowledgeable.

One 1000 watt digi/bulb will suck up almost 10 amps(9.6) so if you want to run on 120v then one light per 15 amp breaker would work. If you want 240v your amperage drops to about4.6 or so and would allow you to run both light from the same 240v breaker.

Just remember to shut the power down and if running wire run to the breaker box not from and always do your final hook up to the breaker box LAST.

Good luck
