1st Grow White Widow

Just started my first grow, i decided to grow only one plant just to work out all the kinks, i originally planed to go hydro but ended up growing in soil. im using happy frog potting soil and have one 40 watt cfl and a 14 watt led light i got from a friend. I'll post some photos later to night.

Lookin good so far man G.W, IMO i think u should put the cfl on the top to keep the seedling from stretching, or if u wanna use the LED jus lower it like right above the top of the pot, u do not want ur WW to stretch

Just spend a cpl 100 bucks and get a 250 or 400 watt light and ballast. Your not gunna get much more than an oz with your current setup

I would have gotten a bigger light but finances are a little tight. would it be worth it to get 65 or 80w cfls? the cfl fixture i have now says it can use up to 150w light. is this safe to do w/out a ballast currently i have everything plugged into a surge protector, also im trying to construct a home made carbon filter i was just thinking of buying a carbon filter screen and cutting it to fit over my fan, and wrapping it in some fabric adding some baking soda... any recommendations?

i just ordered a 125w 6400k cfl will this be strong enough for vegging and flowering? I've also herd of people using UV lights to help increase thc production. has anyone tried this if so what were your results? did the bud look more crystallized? was the bud more potent?
My plant stretched a bit but its stopped for the most part now, and i can see the third set of leaves just starting to grow. I still have them under a 14w led and 40w cfl, hopefully once I get it under the 125w it'll start growing faster.

i would use all those lights. you'll need all you can get with cfl's. you'll need so many to get a good crop you might as well get a mh/hps light and ballast like the other guy said.

They look pretty good considering your low budget setup! Not bad for a first grow at all! Congrats..
