1st Grow - Suggestions Wanted

I am planning on growing this year and was looking for suggestions on what to do.

So far this is what I am planning:
-Growing in Missouri
-Growing 2 hours away from my house
-Can only visit plants for 3 days every other week
-Starting plants indoors for a max of 2 weeks
--Watering System
*Gravity fed from multiple 5 gallon buckets connected going into one battery powered timer then going into a splitter / regulator then to each plant.
*Growing in a valley near a spring fed stream (water source)
-Dig 4ft x 4ft holes for each plant
-Grow 10 plants
--Soil
*Natural soil has a lot of clay in it
*Plan on using a mixture of: fox farms ocean forest, fox farms light warrior, perlite, peat moss, and anything anyone else can suggest. I dont want to use all fox farms products for the soil as that would cost a ton for the size of holes I am wanting to use. What else can I use?
*Mulch on top
--Security
*Chicken wire around the plants while they are small
*Game camera hidden watching plants to make sure no one else has been looking at them

Anything I need to change or add? What am i missing?

I do not yet know what seeds I will be using. Can anyone suggest good seeds to buy and provide a link to where they can be bought.

Is is realistic to think I can grow 4 lbs with this set up? What will I need to change to achieve 4 lbs?

sound complicated! thats my suggestion. what is this... "Gravity fed from multiple 5 gallon buckets connected going into one battery powered timer then going into a splitter / regulator then to each plant". I do not understand what this is?

This help?
It's not actually all that complicated. Just a simple solution since I cant be there to water my plants.

The game camera is a good idea but is still pricy. and ten 4 by 4 holes is a shit-ton of work. i like the irrigation system. Im doing something similar but more remote so i wont need a camera

If the plants have lots of room to grow and all of them are female you should be able to get 4 lbs,

last year was my first grow and i did it organic and it was pretty easy because the plant has all the nutrients it needs in the soil.
*Plan on using a mixture of: fox farms ocean forest, fox farms light warrior, perlite, peat moss- good choice thats a really good start, i recommend adding some bat guano there are 2 types one for vegging and one for flowering, i used both and my plants loved them (my biggest one was 8 ft tall and a christmas tree). the other thing that made a difference was worm castings i cant even explain the sudden growth that happen when i top dressed my plants with it.

some other things you may want try adding to the soil are bone meal and blood meal and other such things.... maybe not blood meal the critters may like that

If it goes right you are going to harvest well over 4 lbs.

You might want to consider a larger reservoir than all the 5 gallon buckets. The more simple the set up the less to go wrong. Pretty important when visits are going to be 2 weeks apart.

I already have the camera but just don't use it currently. So no extra cost

btw what kind of timer are you planning on using?
Orbit* 1-Dial 1-Outlet Digital Timer found it at lowes for $35

After I made this post I actually added worm casting and bat guano to my list of things to buy. I also added mushroom compost and dolomite lime. I had read that animals would be attracted to the bone and blood meal but is it only the blood meal that attracts them?

What would you suggest using?
