1st grow silly questions.

I'm growing 1 blackjack as I killed 3 others and the 5th didn germ. It looks to be pretty healthy. I just have a few questions.

1. It's a little over 30 days it's height is 4.5 inches. Is this about par on a short strain?

2. I'm using a 400w mh right now and will hopefully be going to 12/12 soon with a HPS. Is it unreasonable to hope for 1/2 a gram per watt? I'd even be happy with 1/4th a gram a watt.

3. I just FIMed my plant the other day and was wondering if there are other techniques I could perform inorder to attempt to increase yield?

umm 4.5 inches seems kinda short but iv never grown that strain before....i got that height from 3 weeks with 1000 watt of cfls before i put them outside this year and using tiger bloom or big bloom would help them but dont use over 2 teaspoons per gallon of water since i just got nute burn from bumping it up to 2.5 teaspoons and yeild.....wayyyy too ealry to tell

You should look up on LST ( Low stress training )

Had a plant that was about 4 inches till the 6th week... then it took off like a banshee... as long as the leaves look good and healthy, keep doing what you're doing... she'll explode one of these days !

My white widows were short but they took off in flowering. They are still kind of short but lots of buds. One ww plant is 1/2 the size of my one blackberry but the ww has twice the amount of buds.

It's nice to know my short plant could still turn out nice. I'm looking into lst but I'm going to take 4 clones next week. Am I causing it too much stress? Should I still use lst? Also I'm currently ebb and flow and am worried about root lock so I was wondering if I should switch to a DWC? Am I just crazy and am trying to do much?

you're crazy for doing too much. You will kill this plant with your love and kindness. Keep it simple, don't over-do it. It's better to have a smaller first yield than to kill the baby and not have ANY yield at all. Keep doing what you are but if you must, go with Uncle Ben's Topping technique. You will get 2-4 main colas this way, the plant will be a bit shorter and you'll have the top to make some clones. But again, for a first grow take it easy and you should be ok

K I'm going to skip LST for this plant. But I need to make clones, at least 1 so I can have blackjack later. I'm pretty happy with her growth I'll be posting an update on my grow in a couple hours.
