1st grow, need help

Well I started my grow FINALLY, but I think I may have problems or im just being impatient, maybe both lol.
Anyways so Wed. 13th I put my seeds in a cup with water and let them sit in a cabinet for 24 hours. Also put my rockwool in ph corrected water to sit for 24hrs also. I then on the 14th with clean tweasers and clean hands put my seeds into the rock wool and placed them in my bubbleponics system. Today being the 15th and over 24+ more hours being put in rockwool there still is no sprout.? Is it too early? My rockwool is still damp and all the feeder tubes seem to be workin properly, maybe I'm just rushing things. How long does it usually take to see seeds sprout.

The idea of soaking seeds is to see if they can absorb water. Once they do they sink. If not they float. You can usually tell in about 8 hours. If the shell is too hard you can sand the edge and try again but soaking for too long is not a good thing.

I find it takes two to three days before the tap root appears. In your case you wont see that as it will be inside the rockwool. After a couple days you should see the seed poking out the hole. Leave it to the plant to shed the shell. So yea, a little impatient, it takes about a week.

Agreed, wait another day or two, and most will have sprouted by them.

There was no need to place the seeds in the system untill you had the seed leaves show.This could have been this differance between success and failer.All you needed to do was put the cubes in some water add a drop of superthrive per litre of water then ph the water the reason i ph after adding the cubes is the cubes can alter the ph.Once the seeds have split then make a small hole the hole only wats to be double the size of the seed.Then tear of a small piece of rockwool and place it over the seed the mist the top so the piece that you tore off will seal the hole.Then it is just a matter of placeing the seeds under some flouresent lights or cfl's will do just fine.The first signs of any seed top then i would place in the unit but not before.By placeing your seeds in the unit this early it could cause the seed stem to blacken at the tip a kind of rot.The cubes only need to be a little damp not dripping.But there still is a good chance if the seeds are any good you will still have luck...........................................tyke...............................................

Ok I have a problem with my water pump. It doesnt want to stay connected at all.. it just ends up fall over.. I think they sent me the wrong connector. Anyway I can fix this problem, I tried duck tape but that didn't work.. it eventually fell off. The tube-->connector peice--->waterpump.. Tube with the black connector doesnt want to stay down on the water pump.. Just falls over or slids off. Here are some pics

I had that problem before. the 1/2 in fitting wouldnt stay in the pump.
What I did was wrap the fitting with that Glad plastic wrap a couple times and jammed it in there. You dont want to use glue or tape. Tape will fall apart and if you glue it you will never to be able to remove it.
