1st grow, need help determining sex

Hello, this is my first grow using seeds that I found in some Durban Poison...total newbie here.
Plants are both around 4 weeks, though the taller one is several days ahead of the other.
The tall one looks to clearly have female "pistols" (though males supposedly grow taller?) the shorter one has much different looking nodes leading me to believe it's a vertically challeged male...or maybe it's too early to tell. Thanks for taking the time to help.IMG_20200704_083146234.jpgIMG_20200703_214633356.jpgIMG_20200703_214553864.jpgIMG_20200704_083146234.jpgIMG_20200703_214633356.jpgIMG_20200703_214553864.jpg

Personally I have had several plants show sex in veg. The one with pistols showing is definitely a female and the other just appears to have new shoots growing but I think it's too early to tell its sex. Seeds from the same plant will often exhibit different phenotypes, one can be tall and lanky and others can be short and fat. Genetics in bag seeds are unstable and the height won't necessarily determine the sex. Happy growing and keep up the good work!
