1st grow in 15 years

Hi all, it's been a long time since I grew and when I did last it was outdoor guerrilla. Pop 'em drop and come back in the fall to check and harvest. Not really a controlled grow by any means. Well anyway got some bag seeds off the best smoke for the last few months so I have plenty of practice plants as I learn and make mistakes, at least it is not with expensive strains.

I'm seeding/vegging outside in the Florida sun temporarily while I set up my grow rooms. 4X4X6 flower cabinet w/ 430 watt HPS higher-end Hortilux and a 4X4X4 Veg Cabinet w/ 400 watt MH with (4) 23 watt daylight CFL's. Well now to grow them big enought to sex them and I will be well on my way for my first indoor grow. Oh by the way, I have been doing research on this site since 2009 and now I feel like I am ready to run with the big dogs. Thanks alot for all your support and help.

Beans went down 15 April 10, seedlings arrived 2-3 days after. Here are new pic's....hopefully less than 2 weeks of veg. left then it will be mature enough to start it on a flower cycle and see if I got a girl or not. Here are new pic's. Looks like a bug got after 1 last night.....put some pesticide on her this am.......no more free lunch for the bugs.

Well a quick update on my grow. I still have not got the lights, hey when they are free I can't complain. I did get (4) 65W (300w eq 2740 lumens each) 2700 kelvin CFL's (lowes for 16.34 each) and I took the light kit off an old ceiling fan to use as my fixture. I have this hanging off a curtain rod mounted to the wall with a 30gal Rubbermaid trash can under it. I have the can and lid lined in tin foil. Anyway the plant is in the can on a stool, to get it the right height from the bulb, the lid is leaned against the wall/fixture and then foil is draped over all the openings left and I have one hell of a small grow box.........she looks gnarly but damn the plant likes her, she prolly grew a 1/2 inch or so yesterday. Well......I'm good and baked and now off to new adventures. Peace all....will post some pic's of this set-up tomorrow with the new plant picks.

I would suggest picking up some mylar instead of tin foil. The in foil can cause hot spots when wrinkled and subsequently burn your plants, with cfls you have less to worry about but they are like $1 at thrift shops so theirs no need to use tinfoil.

It's a make shift spot that the plants get 2-3 hrs light after sun down. Waiting on my HPS gear to complete my set up, this was just thrown together to extend their day. Thanks for the comment. Will post my grow cabinet pic's when it's completed till then these babes veg in da sun !!

Well here they are now......have my growing legs back and all the right equipment.....look at the beautiful genetics.
