1st Grow Design, A couple Questions

I finally bought a house and I can't wait to do my first Grow.:weed: check out my design and let me know if you see any problems or flaws. Or just give advice, I appreciate all help.

Should I put the inline fan near the Exhaust to pull air through the cooltube or near the Intake to push air through the cooltube?

I'm using PVC Pipe for the tent, I'm not sure what the best kind of walls would be. Plastic? Cardboard covered in Mylar or painted white? Any other Ideas?

Let me know, I think I will start my build in a few days. Then watch my babies grow:leaf:, flower:weed:, be chopped, be packedbongsmilie, be inhaled:o, followed by a nap, maybe food.

Your drawing really doesn't tell me anything.
It's good that your thinking ahead.
Instead of building one big room, I would build multiple rooms inside of one room.
That way you can utilize your venting for all the rooms.
You'll want one room just for vegging & for your mothers, another for clones, then of course your flowering room.
Your clone room can be set up with some shitty fluorescents.
Your vegg & mother room can be set up with a low wattage Metal Halide.
And your flowering room can be set up with a 600 watt Hps.

That's what I would do.

I think you have the right idea....

a veg room is also a must...

I would go with a 600 HPS FOR SURE... you will not regret it... and if you were thinking of 2 400s in the future, go with 2 600s ...

and I would use 6MIL B&W Panda Film... from the grow store...

I built a 36" x 20" x 60" tent, with a 600 WATT HPS in a cooltube... 10" from the plants the temp is 75F...

Make sure you put your fan on the cool side of the cooltube... the fan works more efficiently drawing cold air and will also run cooler, extending fan motor life...

Best of luck...

Thanks for the advice, I was thinking of adding another room later. Do you think the extra 200 W really makes that much of a difference

Thanks for the advice I appreciate it. I love your grow tent. Looks really sturdy, I'm sure you will have beautiful buds growing in there. I noticed in your pic. The fan on right, is that blowing into an open vent? I never really thought about that but that is a good idea. I was just going to install another inline fan into that opening but a regular fan would be much cheaper. Thanks for your pic man, best of luck on your grows.

Yeah man...

Actually that fan is not blowing on an open vent...

I do not have stealth issues... so I usually keep that fan in front of the tent, with the flap partially open... you see it where it is because I moved it to take the picture...

You could very well make a big hole on the side... but I already have a big one in th front (door)... so it works...

My ventilation is actually not done yet... I still have exhaust and intake fans to install... I am hoping to be able o bring the temp in there down to 65F... and I will regulate it with intake/exhaust fan speeds....

But I have winter on my side for 9 months of the year... and our summer was about 55F this year .. so ...it's possible...

Best of luck to you....

Thanks for the help Gypsy, Best of luck to you on your grows. Yea, if I had winter for 9 months I would have to grow a lot of pot too. Lol.:bigjoint: Good luck Bro.
