My dear MJ lovers!
This will be the beginning of what I hope becomes a new long term part of my life that I am going to share with you guys so hopefully it might help someone who was or is in my position. Full time job, part time student, fiance, parent of several animals, just to name a few things I have going on a well. So with that said I basically could not afford the cost of local pot with the amount that I smoke per week (1 zip between me and my fiance). I finally decided to say screw it and order some seeds. Ended up ordering from True North Seed Bank.
I ordered Cheese-Auto-flower by Canuk and they ended up sending me a Lemon Skunk Auto-Flower and a Bubba Kush Feminized. I am waiting til I order more feminized non-auto-flowering seeds to grow that one. Took 8 business days to get to me here in the South from Canada.
I ended up just building a temporary setup to get this first grow off the ground as quick as possible per my daily supply running short and me spending all this money on other things. Bought a mobile closet that has a aluminum frame and a white cloth extrerior (Dem:20"x40"x60")and tranformed into a grow tent. Using a power strip with 6 light bulb-plug adapters and 6 Y adapters from Home Depot, Bought 8 100w 43w Equiv CFLs and 2 150w Equiv bulbs all from Wal-mart. Also bought a couple 4" and 12" mini fans for circulation. Using cardboard as the light wing with a reflective heat blanket streatched and taped together with duct-tape. Another Surge Protector strip for all the fans and 2 light timers. Going to line the inside of the closet with cardboard with heat blankets stretched over them also. This will provide a more reflective surface for the light to bounce off of and help block light leakage at the same time.
Germination- Started today Sunday March 7 at 8:00am in 2 jiffy peat-moss pods. Pushed a hole with my finger just a couple cm past the surface, dropped the seeds in, and filled the top with Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil which I will be using as my grow medium for the entire grow. I am sill undecided on nutrients at the time.
Thats as far as I have gotten so far. Only have a pic of the germ process. I will take a pic of the mobile closet/grow tent tonight once I finish lining the inside.
