I tried to make absolute shatter , i followed a "how to" video on youtube. I had 52 grams of nugs grinded it up and put it ny extraction tube . I dont have any pics ubtil tonight (only of the final poduct right now .
I used every clear alchol , extraction tube , 1 pyrex dish , 1 pyrex measuring cup , a pot , and a electric panckake burner .
I followed step by step from the video .
1. Blast material into pyrex measguring cup .
2. Give it a hot water bath until bubbleing settles down almost completely (in the vid he did not use a electric burber like me , he kept changing water so i thought it would help ) the water was about f120F.
3. Add everclear and stir . This is where i think went wrong ... In the video he runs a pound i ran 52g. He had liquid in his measuring cup when he added the grain alchol . Mine looked like wax getting heat purged no liquid .. his started to bubblle instantky . My wax sat on the bottom of the pyrex measuring cup in alchol . So i stired and put in the freezer for 12 hrs .
4. Get a regular glass cup , put a coffe filer on it and put ur liquid in a shot glass and pour 1 shot glass in each cup . After it drains through the filter you can see fats on the filter.
5. I filled up a pot with about half way of water and turned my stove on to where the water was just about to boil . Put ny pyrex dish over . After a min . I poured the liquid in the reg glass (1shot glass worth) into the pyrex dish . You can see a miljy liquid apear on the surface (im guessing thats the alchol getting evaporated) i waited till all the white was gone . Got a razor bkad and went back and forth to make a thin layer . Waited 5 min then scraped . In the vid it said wait 20-30min . So idk if that messed me up also . But the profuct i came out wth was completely stable shatter . Like glass . Just when i dabbed it sizzled and it had a weird taste and left a burn ib my nose .. Im going to attemt again .
Any tips to improve my process i dont want no sizzle , and good taste ..
