150w HPS questions

Ok guys I've only grown with CFL's before and now i just got a daystar 150w HPS and ballast. How far should the light be from my girls? I'll be growing in a 10x8x7 room with a tent to help control light release. should i invest in a cooling fan as well - or will the size of the room dissipate the heat enough?

its not huge i know, but stealth is key in noise light and energy

just put a small fan in there on the hps u should be fine, dont fill up the space with plants or they will not get big, try only 2 or 4 plants under that setup

yeah i was planning on sitting on three i think with CFLs for additional lighting seeing as how i still have an ass load of them from my last grow.

dude ... i hope you didnt pay 240 bucks for that light... i got mine for 80 bucks including shippin it....

i paid 240 for the light/ballast- basin/pump -and almost a years worth of nutes yea not just for the light. thanks though

yeah, i am. cause currently im using some blue plant light cause i was reading a book that states that more blue like give you more female so i thought that would help, dont know. but i also have a 250 w light and a 400 w light but im really concerned with energy consumtion and all that, so i really want some information on the whole thing to see if ishould use the 250 bulb or continue with the blub lights or do something else help asap!
