150w hps or

Which of these two would be better. I have one of these 150W HPS systems... should i get an additional one or should I get one of the T5 lamps

I am currently in my veg cycle with a 150W HPS. I want to keep a mother and clone her with my current light and whichever additional light i get.... ill only be having 3 plants at the max (if all 3 turn out female) in this current grow.

They are both nearly the same price (70 apx) but the lumens are 10,000 & 16,000 lumens

That flouro equals only 2/3rds the light of the hps. 10k lumens vs 15k
And you can't use it with the hps, it would be in the way really.

What size cabinet are you running or are you limited to a small light? You could get a 400hps used for these prices if not a 1000.

i have two closets right next to each other that measure 2x3x7

i was thinking about the t5 because it said its good for mothers and seedlings... and ive heard that hps is only good for flowering but will work for veg too.. its just not the best

so im trying to figure out what i can upgrade to... ive figured out that my closet can handle up to a 400w setup before it overpowers the plants with to much light

alot of people like the floros because they can put them basically right up to the canopy and not have to worry about burning the plants.....aledgedly(sp?) it also keep the node intervals closer together so your plant wont stretch as much.....the hps puts out more lumens tho...idk but i'd like to hear more too so im in for the sub

get the t5 and put it in the other cabinet and use that room for veg and the hps for flowering
