For that price, I would buy em, usualy about 80$.
And they take the mini bulbs, cool.

Hps ballast also run MH bulbs of equivelant voltage. So you could Run MH in em if you need to make a vegg/clone rooom later.

get it! i payed 155 for two sunlight supply 150w. the only problem is, the light spread isnt to great. so if you let the plant get 4ft tall 4weeks into flowering, the plant flowers a lot slower. but for small supercropped grows their great. i tried topping under two of these and i was able to fit 10 plants after keeping them short with topping

Always be wary of things that seem too good to be true. If you can get that from the actual store in person and make sure there's a warranty. If not I'd walk. Something fishy about growing equipment for the cost of a toaster.

digital ballasts run both, not hps ballasts. unless you have a conversion or a ceramic m/h bulb. a while back (second or third grow) I had a switchable ballast, accidently bumped the switch. when lights came on my bulb was putting off a funky light and popped.

Is that true? you can run a MH bulb of equivelant voltage in a hps ballast. I thought you had to either have a conversion bulb or have a switchable ballast

ive been told you can run a mh in regular hps ballast, the only problem is the bulb life gets reduced. im not sure about the 150w though, the ballast might not be able to take it

At least a toaster comes with a power cord. This ad says, "no power cord included, diy"

I wonder if the ballast is included.

I was just wondering if the item on this page: http://www.dchydro.com/product/3661/150-HPS-Sun-Budget-Complete/ comes with a ballast. I noticed it said no power cord included, but there wasn\'t anything said about a ballast.

Thanks,
Psychild

Interesting. You gonna order one?

Could be a really sweet deal if it works. A power cord is cheap and should be easy to install.

I bought a couple of the 150w hps econolights a while back that were $20 ea, never had a problem with them. Well made chinese stuff, but didn't use more than 2 crops to be honest.

They are too small unless you just have no choice but to tinker with a tiny grow in a closet on a shelf or something. I tried them, then 400's to support a whole closet, then 1k's. It's the same amount of work with 1k's and much more pleasant results. And the power difference and heat difference isn't what you would think. One of my last grows was over a year ago in a tiny bathroom and it took the floor space of two normal bathtubs and yielded 2 pounds dry with a single 1k vertical. With 2x150 you'd be lucky to get a few z's, given the same amount of time and work it's kind of pointless not even enough to stay in smoke between crops unless you go perpetual and that's even more work.
If you can at all find space and money for larger lights, do it.

i have some autos going on in the same tent as non autos. i figure why not get the autos some cheap lights so they can keep going at 20/4 when the tent goes to 12/12
