12 Cola Indoor Mainline Grow

Hey guys new to this site, but on I’ve been on here enough I figured I’d make an account and post my grow.
Doing my first mainlining grow, wanted to bring it to 16 colas, but I just snapped a branch off doing some LST when I was up to 4 colas. I didn't have any good tape lying around at the time so I didn't want to attempt the repair and potentially lose some valuable vegetation time for the rest of the branches.
So I decided to chop that branch completely off and top the rest of the branches at the same time to limit the number of times I am exposing the plant to stress. So that was at 4 colas and now I’m at 6. I’ll top 1 more time to finish with a total of 12 main colas!

It’s being grown in soil with the full TPS nutrients regimen. Currently in a 1 gal pot in my office, I will be transplanting it to a 3 gal with a 3x3x6 grow tent shortly after it recovers from it’s last topping, letting it vegetate for a while and then finally to a 7.5 gal to flower.

The strain is forbidden fruit, let me know if you guys have any questions or recommendations, thanks for reading!

Hey Ayedum, what seedbank did you get your seeds from. Reason I ask is I have some Forbidden Fruit seeds from MSNL on the way.

Hey man, I got mine from MSNL as well.:hump: Have a few strains from them that I didn't get to grow yet but the company’s support has been great to work with.

Transplant update: Just transferred the plant to a 3 gallon pot, which it will be in until just before flowering. Plant and root system is looking nice and healthy, the pictures included are 9 days after the pictures from my last update. Im going to be waiting until it regrows to about 6 nodes for its next topping.

My soil composition for anyone interested:
Happy Frog Potting Soil - 75%
Natures Living Soil Original - 5%
Perlite - 10%
Diatomaceous Earth - 10%

Soil pH is 6
Temperature (day/night) - 80°F/70°F
Humidity - 45% (want to get this to 60%)

Final topping update!
Topped my plant on Oct. 26th (10 days after my last pictures) plant is growing very strong and healthy, getting very excited :bigjoint:

As shown below, for this topping, since it was a little more grown then when I’ve been topping previously, I did not leave the fan leaves on most colas.

The plant actually topped itself the week before, which is great because 1, it seems like the plant naturally wants to support the extra top which is fine by me and 2, as I said in the original post I lost one of the branches early on that I was planning to keep.
So this now means it will be at least a 14 cola indoor mainline :weed:

My next update will most likely be the cropping/pruning before flipping to flower; hopefully in about 2 weeks. Fingers crossed until then.

Soil pH is 6
Temperature (day/night) - 80°F/70°F
Humidity - 60% (got a sick evaporative humidifier that has been working very well for me, does require water filled every 2-3 days though)

Flowering update! (Week 0)

It’s been a while since my last post, but I've been working hard on this plant. I have been trying to maintain that canopy and keep it going evenly, think I've finally got a shape I'm happy with and will push it tonight, with the start of 12 hour dark cycles.

I’ve let the plant fill up the 3 gallon pot completely when I then cut all growth sites at the node and only left the top growth tips of all of the colas. At this time I also transplanted the pot to a whopping 15 gallon grow bag. Definitely overkill but it fits in the tent, I have the space so why not at this stage haha.
While the plant recovered and grew I would bend any colas that got too high, 90°, allowing them to recurve upwards and slow down in vertical growth a bit, allowing for the shorter ones to grow straight up and catch up.

After 7-10 days after this transplant, now I am at a point where I am looking to start growing those budz. Going to try to update this thread every week through the flowering phase hopefully.

Soil pH is 6
Temperature (day/night) - 72°F/70°F (wish I could get that day temp higher but best my current heater can do.)
Humidity - 50%

Flowering update (Week 1)

Week 1 has finished, starting to see those teeny tiny buds form :weed:.

Plant seems very happy and green, stems are thickening a bunch which is a great sign to be able to support those future heavy flowers.

I set up the first trellis netting 4 days after starting the flowering phase. This way the plant can grow into the netting just before it starts stretching a bunch and then I will top with the next netting. The netting should allow the plant to produce even bigger buds that otherwise would have been to heavy for the plant to support on its own.

Until next week. :peace:

Flowering update (Week 2)

Just finished its second week of flowering

Growth looks healthy and strong, no signs of any issues. Lots of flowers are starting to pop up rapidly over the past few days, I am going to look for a time to do some moderate defoliation before the end of this third week; and I don't think I will be touching it again after this final cutting.

Soil pH is 6
Temperature (day/night) - 72°F/68°F
Humidity - 50%

Flowering update (Weeks 3&4)

Just finished week 4 of flowering, plant has slowed down it’s growth and now the buds are developing.
I did one moderate to light pruning of the plant after week 3, seemed to recover after a few days. The buds look very healthy at only 4 weeks old, and trichromes started popping up like wildfire just before the start of week 4. Pretty much on autopilot at this point with waterings every 2-3 days or so.

1 picture is from week 3 right after pruning, the rest are from end of week 4 for comparison.

Soil pH is 6
Temperature (day/night) - 78°F/72°F (upgraded my heater set up)
Humidity - 50%
