12/12 should I be concerned if I miss it by 20 -30 minuets.

Since I bought a gay ass sharp alarm clock, that doesn't work, I have missed my 12/12 by 20 - 30 mins everyday but been adding more minuets on at night. I will remedy that alarm clock situation Friday.

My first time growing. But I find it much easier just to use an automatic timer when I missed my light cycle I sorta shocked my plants.

I put my plants to bed manually every night, and have for years. I give them a tolerance of half hour either way every night. Somttimes between 10:30 and 11:30 I put them down, sometimes between 10:30 and 11:30 the next morning, I wake them up.

They are very forgiving.. that said, in your case adding a few minutes every night is consistent and a trigger you don't really want to give to plants. You will be fine if you get them back to where they once belong..

Same here, main reason is simply that I don't want the lights to go on when I'm not there, which would mean I'm in jail, dead, or otherwise not able to care for my plants, or worse, put out a fire. I live in an appartement building so have to consider the risk to neighbors.

I have an alarm set and usually respond within a couple minutes, but 20-30 minutes doesn't seem to affect my plants at all. I wouldnt do that during the 2nd and 3rd week of flowering though, but once they are female, I nor they care about "minutes".

Anyway, get a timer, they are only $5

The sun does not go down at the same time every day.

I never have turned my lights off at exactly 12 hours...

thatboyisoneuvakind said he turns his off within 2 hours of 12 but never the same time..

and he has respectable results.. if you miss reasonably long, just extend the next dark period, make sure its 12 hours of darkness.
