12/12 problem

hi i want to start my plants at a 12/12 light schedual and i keep reading how you need to keep it completely dark and not interrupt the darkness and thats going to be a little problem for me cause its almost impossible for me to make it completely dark for my plants. will that be a big problem for my plants or???

yes its a huge problem, you will end up having female growing male parts, taking longer to flower and just in general being sick, it needs to be completley dark, sorry brother

yes, thers ways to do that, you can use a 'grow tent' or make your own, a closet with door? and simple blanket cover around them? if u need help i would be more than happy to give u more ideas, later bro

I believe you might sacrifice some quality, and might have airier buds, but when you stop and think about it... Plants are grown out doors, moon light is very bright, there are other factors like car lights or street lights. Ive grown some good shit outdoors before, a light leek cant be any worse than the moon. IMO

yeah what i have is a grow tent but its more wide then tall, and i got that because i thought reading so much about autoflowering seeds they will be pretty short and all the pictures i seen. but i think its because of my lights they are bigger then suppose to be. they are almost 3 feet tall and that basicly outgrows my tent. not to long ago i just tryed flipping it on its side to make it taller but that still wont do the trick. as of right now they are sitting near my bedside with a sheet around it but light can still seep threw the sheet. i want to hang up a blanket but i dont have any spare ones i can keep looking and its going to be a pain in the ass hanging up this blanket lol. im trying to convince my brother to let me use his closet (our closet, they way our rooms is, is that you have to walk threw my room to get to his) so he has 2 closets in his room but hes the "oldest" and what he says goes and im not going to disrespect that. but i think hes softening up so hopefully i can put it in the closet. so either for me its blanket or hopefully closet.

Depends on the strain also. A good solid strain with proven track record might be less prone to hermie like a more new unstable strain... Just something to think about.

the moon is a good arguement, but you need to remember, the moon lets off a very very different (and for the most part unmatchable) light than our regular household lights that me and you use everyday in our homes, plants have adjusted to the moon over millions of years and have adapted to that light frequency, when you start throwing cfls and incadesants into the mix thats a whole new ball game. and gagekko also has a good point, hardier strains ( skunk1, NL, WW) strains that have been proven great will have a better chance of surviving traumatizing things during its life than 90 percent of the new crap breeders ares elling now adays


ps so are u saying the plant is to big for the grow tent? there are many things u can do to combat this as well, you can tie plants down, LST them, super crop them, theres always ways for them to fit bro, trust me on that lol remmeber then can grow any which way you point them, makei t a fucking jungle in there

well i got lowryder 2, and honestly the only light that actually would be effecting the plants at when the lights are off is my TV light, which i dont think is to strong or is it? and maybe my computer monitor light but that shuts off eventually. i still feel i should try hanging up a blanket atleastttt, or hopefully like i said before the closet.
